Lives and works in Paris, France.\nAn unclassifiable artist and major figure on the French art scene, Jean-Michel Alberola creates visual riddles that question our perception and the role\nof art in society. Oscillating between aesthetic considerations and political questions, between conceptualism, abstraction and figuration, Alberola\u2019s\nuniquely powerful work is never devoid of humour. In 2016 his solo exhibition L\u2019aventure des details was on show at Palais de Tokyo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VINCENT BIZIEN<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born 1986 in France. Lives and works in Paris, France.\nIn his works on paper, Victor Bizien draws on an unchecked hypersensitivity to give shape to unfathomable sensations, visions, encounters and\ndisturbances. His work was shown as part of the exhibitions L\u2019Esprit singulier: The Collection of Auberive Abbey at Halle Saint Pierre, Paris, and\nEmotion: The Massini Collection at Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FRITZ BORNST\u00dcCK<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born 1982 in Germany. Lives and works in Berlin, Germany.\nIn the still lifes of Fritz Bornst\u00fcck, found objects are given a new lease of life. By reusing and repurposing the waste (debris) of popular culture, the\nartist practices what he calls \u2018cultural recycling\u2019. Bornst\u00fcck is an explorer. His materials draw on a wide range of sources: film noir, found footage, his\nown environment, his private waste. Bornst\u00fcck\u2019s works can be found in the collection of the Arken Museum in Copenhagen, the Hildebrand Collection\nin Leipzig, the L\u00fctzow Collection in Berlin, the Paschertz Collection (shown at Museum Heylshof in Worms, Germany) and the S\u00d8R Rusche\nCollection in Berlin and Cologne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IO BURGARD<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born 1989 in Naples, Italy. Lives and works in Paris, France.\nIn Claudio Coltorti\u2019s poetic paintings, each form and surface is finished in great detail, assembling with others into a harmonious, luminous and\nmesmerising whole. The paintings are grounded with hide glue that is applied with according to technique used in Germany. On Coltorti\u2019s work,\nvolume and movement are essential elements. Coltorti obtained a Fine Arts Diploma with honours from the Ecole des beaux-arts in Paris. His work\nwas shown among others in Felicit\u00e0 17, an exhibition of distinguished graduates shown at the Palais des beaux-arts, Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CLAUDIO COLTORTI<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born in 1989 in Naples, Italy. Lives and works in Paris, France. In Claudio Coltorti's poetic paintings, every shape and surface is meticulously crafted to create a harmonious, luminous and bewitching whole. He prepares his canvases with skin glue, which he spreads with a card, a technique used in Germany. For Claudio Coltorti, volume and movement are essential notions that form an important part of his work. Claudio Coltorti obtained his DNSAP diploma from the Beaux-Arts de Paris with the congratulations of the jury. His work was featured in the exhibition Felicit\u00e0 17, dipl\u00f4me des f\u00e9licit\u00e9s, Palais des Beaux-Arts, Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CAMILLE FISCHER<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born 1984 in Schiltigheim, France. Lives and works in Strasbourg, France.\nCamille Fischer creates multifaceted work where drawing, textile, sculpture and performance constantly interact. Exploring the post-punk aesthetic,\nshe works with the traces, objects, slogans and symbols of avant-garde phantasmagoria. Fischer was awarded the Th\u00e9ophile Schuler Prize in\nStrasbourg in 2017. Her work was shown in the exhibitions Peindre, dit-elle (Chap. 2), curated by Julie Crenn at Mus\u00e9e des beaux-arts de Dole in\n2017, Le contemporain dessin\u00e9 at the Mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratifs in Paris in 2016, and Regionale 15 at Projektraum M54 in Basel, Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MONIKA MICHALKO<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born in 1982 in Sokolov, Czech Republic. Lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Monika Michalko studied with Norbert Schwontkowski from 2003 to 2009 at the College of Fine Arts in Hamburg. In her dream landscapes, there are echoes of classical modernism from Malevich to Klee, as well as references to Joan Mir\u00f3 and the brothers Gert and Uwe Tobias. In addition, the colorful panel paintings are influenced by his travels in Egypt, India and Turkey. The artist's impressions incorporate ornamentation and architectural forms. She exhibited at Kunsthaus Hamburg in 2013, Kunsthaus Jesteburg in 2016 and participated in focus at Art Cologne in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GRETEL WEYER<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born 1984. Lives and works in Strasbourg, France.\nIn her ceramic works and woodcuts, Gretel Weyer explores the symbols and objects of childhood. Her works materialise the fears, fascinations and\ndaydreams populating what is commonly called \u2018the age of innocence\u2019. Weyer works with ideas of passage and ritual that children face consciously or\nunconsciously. Operating on the threshold between two worlds, she establishes a dialogue between menace and reassurance.
