These drawings were born from an immersion in the holdings of La Conserverie, an archive dedicated to preserving family albums and the memories they carry. They invite us to wander through gardens—spaces often associated with gentleness and innocence, landscapes of recovered childhood. Yet they are also places of transmission and exchange, where gestures, stories, and memories pass from hand to hand across generations. Following La neige en Août, Chapitre I, presented at Galerie Maïa Muller in 2025—a body of work marked by fire and ruin—this second chapter, first exhibited at Galerie Neuf in Nancy, gestures toward repair. Its gaze rests on what emerges beneath the ashes: gardens yet to come; what returns, what persists, what withstands the passage of time and endures within collective memory through the acts of care and transmission that bind generations together.
